The Nike Air Max 2015 isn't afraid of referencing the long line of Air Max pairs that came before it.
This has been a common practice for Air Max models in recent years–the Air Max 2014 was more direct in its port and the Air Max 2013 went ahead with a full collection of classic Air Max colorways. This pair isn't upfront about its tribute, the color used is bright crimson and not actual infrared, but it's obvious what the point of reference is here.
