Rose City, a nickname originally given to Portland in 1888. The city’s affinity for all-things-rose led to the first ever Portland Rose Festival in 1907, an annual tradition that continues today.

Last season, adidas Basketball celebrated its newest star, Dame Lillard, and the city he calls home by releasing a rose-themed Crazy 1. The metallic red version of Kobe Bryant’s original sig was launched with a meet-and-greet in Portland and became a hot seller for the brand.

Now, Lillard has his own signature shoe, the low-top D Lillard 1. And once again, adidas is using the silhouette to pay homage to Portland’s rose legacy.

The ‘Rose City’ Lillard 1 sports a red-on-red look, with a rose graphic print along the inner bootie, tongue and eyelets. Presumably representing leaves and thorns, ‘DAME’ is spelled out on the tongue in green. The heels are adorned by large Dame and adidas logos in black.

As of now, there is no confirmed release date for this colorway, but expect a drop soon.
