There are a number of different ways that one could look at this upcoming New Balance 990 release.
One one hand, the pair looks like a reverse of the "Connoisseur Painters" version of the shoe that showed up in 2014, although the red used here is slightly brighter than that pair's burgundy shade. The sneaker is also somewhat reminiscent of the classic "Red Devil" New Balance 670, although they need more black and some leather mixed in to really nail that inspiration. The sneaker doesn't appear to be a part of any one the many upcoming inline packs from the brand. This New Balance pair should arrive at U.S. retailers in the coming months.
