What seemed like a mountain too tall to climb ended up being a career night for Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving.
With teammate LeBron James sidelined due to injury, Irving led the Cavs against the Portland Trail Blazers earlier tonight. Matched up against Dame Lillard, Irving had arguably his finest outing as a pro. Knocking down 17 of his 36 shots (including 11 of 19 from three-point range), he racked up 55 points to help the home team pick up an improbable 99-94 win.
Irving's performance came in a Cavs-themed PE colorway of his Nike Kyrie 1 signature shoe. While it was certainly a night for the ages, it'd be even better if fans could go pick up the 'Double Nickel' Kyrie 1 right now. A similar colorway, however, be ordered at NIKEiD.
