Jordan Brand Keeps Using Elephant Print on Performance Shoes

Chris Paul's Jordan line looks to a treasured silhouette for inspiration.

It's still strange to see elephant print show up on modern Jordan Brand offerings.

The brand has every right to use this most recognizable pattern, but it feels out-of-place for a throwback graphic to show up on models that are meant to be at the cutting edge of performance (especially given that the brand is doing better than ever in the lifestyle realm with shoes like the Jordan Future). Like the Jordan XX9 before it, the Jordan CP3.VII has picked up on the pattern, along with a look that overall seems very inspired by the Air Jordan 3 "Black/Cement". The sneakers aren't available in the U.S. yet, but Sole Collector will have updates when they eventually do land here.
