This Is Not the Air Jordan 1 'Chinese New Year'

Some clarification on this red take on the Air Jordan 1 that's floating around.

Images of a supposed Air Jordan 1 "Chinese New Year" have been circulating recently, suggesting that Jordan Brand would celebrate the holiday with this deluxe red suede shoe.

That's not the case–the sneaker, pictured here, is actually the work of The Remade, a custom crew that specializes in these sort of luxurious looks. It's telling that the craftsmanship here was good enough to fool people into thinking that the shoe was a real deal Jordan Brand release. The Air Jordan 1 will be released though, as The Remade is setting aside four pairs for China and four pairs for the U.S that will hit on Chinese New Year. There is no word yet on whether there will be an official 'Chinese New Year' version of the Jordan 1.
