The adidas Stan Smith remixes that have released in the past year have been surprisingly open to structural changes.
Raf Simons was allowed to swap out the standard perforations across the side for a monogram treatment, and Concepts inserted a neoprene bootie into the shoe. The latter appears to have caught on as the adidas Blue imprint just issued a similar pair. For the most part the upper remains unchanged, but in place of the standard leather tongue is a neoprene treatment that runs around the insides of the shoes. The good news is that without the collab marker, the pair should be much easier to pick up. Case in point: Oneness still has the adidas Blue Stan Smith in stock now.
