It’s a common fact across all of sneaker fandom: there are a lot of retros. You’d be hard-pressed to find a sneaker that hasn’t been brought back at least a few times already. With that in mind, Sole Collector brings you Retrograde – a new video series that examines what really makes a retro version different from the original (and every other time it’s been brought back).
The first episode takes a look at the black and infrared Air Jordan 6. Here we examine categories like material, branding and colorway. While we were at it, we even brought in a pair of the black and varsity version of the Air Jordan 6 to see how it stacked up.
Check out the pilot of the series above, and feel free to leave suggestions on how we can make the show better or what sneakers we should look at next time in the comments section.
