The Nike Air Max 1 makes more sense than most as far as Safari conversions go.

After all, the sneaker was born in the same year as the Nike Air Safari, and both of them came from the mind of Tinker Hatfield. Sure there's the fact that one was a performance runner at its debut and the other was more of a lifestyle design, but presently they occupy more or less the same space in the retro realm. Tell us in the comments if you approve of this Air Max appropriation and remember that Sneaker Politics is one of the spots that will have them come Friday.
