adidas Consortium teams up with sneaker collector Quote and UK illustrator Peter O'Toole for their latest collaboration.

A part of the Quote’s Archive project, Quote and O'Toole were given the opportunity to team up to makeover an archive shoe of their choice. Known as the 'Quotoole' edition, the silhouette they chose to work on was the ZX 420. Inspired by a vintage pair of adidas Denver's from Quote’s personal collection, this pair comes in a blue, red and white colorway.

Featuring a high quality pale blue soft suede overlay that sits on iconic mesh in darker shades of blue, with red color blocking on the midsole and along the Three Stripes on the sides. Purple and magenta are found on the tongue and ankle padding while a subtle vintage cream midsole gives the shoe a classic ‘80s runner feel. Each designer’s imprint is present, with their faces featured on the ‘Endorsed by’ fabric label under the tongue, and a motif sock-liner design, utilising Quote’s fist logo and O’Toole’s typographic namesake.

The 'Quotoole' adidas Consortium ZX 420 will be available exclusively at No74 in Berlin on Saturday, October 25 with a global release to follow on Saturday, November 15 at select adidas Consortium retailers in limited quantities.
