An overlooked candidate for NBA Rookie of the Year is Philadelphia 76ers big man Nerlens Noel, who missed all of last season rehabilitating a torn ACL. Back on the court fhis preseason, Noel is showing some of the promise that made him the sixth overall pick in the 2013 Draft, despite the injury.
After pitching for Reebok from the sidelines as a rookie, it looks like Noel is once again a sneaker free agent. We spotted him wearing Nike for Media Day, and for last night's game against the New York Knicks, he laced up the Under Armour ClutchFit Drive. We reached out to Under Armour to find out if the pact has been made official, but we're told that Noel is currently not under contract.
That doesn't mean a deal won't be reached, and the former Kentucky standout would be a solid addition to UA's growing roster. Noel may never be an all-time scorer, but he has the potential to be a long-term impact player, with a big personality to match in a city where it counts.
Take a look at Noel in the ClutchFit Drive below and stick with Sole Collector for updates on his future as a sneaker endorser.
