Two years after Spike Lee debuted his Knicks-themed Nike Air Foamposite One PE, sneaker enthusiasts are still clamoring for a retail release.
Sources have told us that the 'Knicks' Foamposite will indeed be releasing, possibly as early as this fall. We've also been informed that it will not be the sample that surfaced in May, but rather the pair pictured here.
Like Spike's PE, the shoe features a bright orange foamposite shell, accented by hits of royal blue and a translucent outsole. Unlike Lee's PE, Penny Hardaway's 1CENT logos adorn the heel instead of custom patches. Of course, Hardaway played for the Knicks from 2004 to 2005.
While we still don't have a confirmed date, early leaks are a good sign that the long-awaited release is closer to becoming a reality. Are you still looking forward to picking up a pair?
