According to the Chicago Tribune, the Jordan Brand-only Flight 23 store, a joint venture with Footaction, will be coming to the city MJ called home for six NBA Championships. The concept made its debut in New York City earlier this year, and will open its doors in Chicago next June. The Chicago store will be located in a 36,000-square-foot space, located at 34 S. State Street, previously occupied by Forever 21.

"There is nothing more quintessentially Chicago than Michael Jordan — and Thor is thrilled to bring the iconic sports hero's unique and dynamic brand to a premier retail location in the city where he cemented his championship legacy," said Joe Sitt, CEO of New York-based Thor Equities, which owns the building.

While Nike has declined to comment on the store, it appears to be a done deal. Check back for more details as they become available, and in the meantime, let us know what you're expecting. What type of exclusive releases are you hoping for?
