If you've been in tune with sneaker culture any time during the past two decades, you've probably heard of Takehiko Inoue's Slam Dunk. The sports-themed Japanese manga is written about a basketball team from Shōhoku High School. Characters in the series wear Bulls-style uniforms and often lace up Air Jordan sneakers.
Surprisingly, it looks like Jordan Brand will soon pay tribute to the iconic comic, possibly releasing a 'Slam Dunk' colorway of the Air Jordan 6. Pictured in detail here, the shoe sports a red upper, with tonal 3M illustrations throughout. Other details include a translucent heel tab, a white midsole and blue-tinted outsole.
There's no confirmed release date at the moment, but keep it locked to Sole Collector for updates.
