Resellers are part of the sneaker world, whether we like it or not. On the positive side, thanks to them, we are able to get our hands on forgetten gems, still in deadstock condition. But on the negative side, sometimes those prices are shockingly high.
While Air Jordans remain the number one target for many resellers, things aren’t limited to MJ. There are quite a few LeBrons going for sky-high prices as well. Some are truly rare, while others are sellers simply looking to capitalize on hype, or throwing out any price, in hopes it will be paid by someone who doesn't know any better.
Today, we’re looking at 10 of the most expensive LeBrons you’ll ever see. Check them out, and let us know your thoughts. What's the most you've paid for a LeBron? Which of these would you like to add to your collection?
Shoe: Nike LeBron 9 Elite
Price: $5,178
Why It's So Expensive: White Dunkman colorways originally started as grey, white and neon green, this PE version features an all-Volt upper, with neon trim, and was first shown off by LeBron himself.
Shoe: Nike LeBron 10
Price: $6,000
Why It’s So Expensive: Standard releases of the Cork 10s can be found for well under four-figures, but this 1-of-21 edition was released exclusively as Nike 21 Mercer location, and includes a gold championship box.
Shoe: Air Max LeBron 7
Price: $6,000
Why It’s So Expensive: An all-black edition of the LeBron 7 may have released, but not with this woven upper, similar to the Red Carpet edition.
Shoe: LeBron Celebration Pack
Price: $6,000
Why It’s So Expensive: Although it eventually restocked, this pack was released in very limited quantities to commemorate LeBron’s second NBA title, with both Elite and low-top editions of the LeBron 10.
Shoe: LeBron 9
Price: $6,000
Why It’s So Expensive: The shoe itself is rare enough (although not as rare as it once was), but this one even includes lace locks like those found on the original pairs given to LeBron, Jay-Z and Kanye.
Shoe: Zoom LeBron IV
Price: $7,000
Why It’s So Expensive: If there’s one pair of LeBron 4s that defines the model, it’s the Fruity Pebbles – a PE based on LeBron’s favorite cereal.
Shoe: Nike Shox VC II
Price: $7,000
Why It’s So Expensive: Along with an extensive list of high school PEs, such as the Question and Air Jordan 9, a SVSM edition of the VC II also found its way to LeBron.
