Today, the sneaker world was stunned to learn that high profile Nike designers Marc Dolce, Denis Dekovic and Mark Miner have left the company to head a new creative studio in Brooklyn with adidas.
The news follows word that adidas has fallen behind Under Armour in U.S. sportswear sales. To counter the trend, the company recently promoted TaylorMade-adidas Golf chief executive Mark King to adidas Group North America, and moved creative director Paul Gaudio from Germany to Portland. Now, a creative studio in Brooklyn with three former Nike heavy hitters at the helm.
