Despite endless rumors, 2013 came and went without a 'Black Cement' Air Jordan 3 '88 retro. However, that doesn't mean a release was never up for discussion, as authentic sample pairs do exist.
Here's a closer look at the '88 'Black Cement' courtesy of Sole Fly's Carlos Prieto. Though the year of production isn't clear, sample tagging is visible on the backside of the tongue.
The decision to not release the popular colorway may have been a blessing in disguise with remastered retros on the way next year. Would 'Black Cements' with Nike Air and quality leather be the most coveted remastered retro?
