Arguably the most popular shoe in the Kevin Durant line, today we take a look at the lineage of the Nike Zoom KD IV.
The Nike Zoom KD IV debuted in December of 2011 and featured the return of the mid-foot strap, last seen on the KD II. They also featured a new Adaptive Fit system, Hyperfuse construction and Zoom Air. After so many colorways of the KD III, Nike Basketball kicked it up a notch by releasing even more for the KD IV. A total of twenty-seven were released in just a little under a year. While the majority of colorways were GRs, there were plenty of limited and unique colorways that hand fans in a frenzy. Some favorites included the ‘Nerf,’ ‘Weatherman,’ ‘All-Star,’ and ‘Year of the Dragon’ editions, to name a few. They also stayed under the $100 price point for the fourth consecutive year, as the KD IV retailed for $95.
