As we continue our journey through the Kevin Durant line, today we take a look at the lineage of the Nike KD V.
The fifth signature shoe of Kevin Durant, the Nike KD V was introduced as a mid-cut, higher than his previous model, the Zoom KD IV, and minus the mid-foot strap. They also featured a visible Max Air unit in the heel, Zoom Air in the forefoot and a Phylon midsole. After over twenty-five colorways of the previous model were released, the KD V tallied in at a total of twenty-three. Not quite as many as the KD IV, but close enough. The majority of colorways released were GRs, however, numerous limited and themed editions dropped as well.
Nike Basketball also included the KD V in its ‘Team Elite’ Series, which featured a low-cut version of the model with some modified upgrades. The regular version of the Nike KD V retailed for $115 and, was the first signature shoe of Kevin Durant to be priced over the $100 mark.
