Before finishing up with the Lakers, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was known by the name Lew Alcindor, anchor for a Milwaukee Bucks team that won the NBA Championship in 1971. Paying homage to the first leg of Kareem's pro career, adidas Originals is releasing his signature low-top in a Bucks-inspired colorway.
This Jabbar Low sports a dark green full-grain leather upper with red suede hits on the classic jagged 3-Stripes and heel tab. Gold foil takes care of branding and logos on the tongue, side panel and heel, while a white cup sole finishes off the look below.
There's not a known release date for this pair at the moment, but look for it and the Lakers colorway to hit adidas Originals retailers in the very near future.
