When people say Shaquille O'Neal changed the game of basketball, they mean it in a literal sense.

During his 92-93 rookie season, Shaq made headlines by breaking backboards (and entire support structures) in New Jersey and Phoenix. The NBA responded by increasing the steel brace strength and stability of the backboard to prevent the hoop from falling down, essentially making it 'Shaq-proof.' The league also introduced a technical foul penalty for breaking backboards.

This fall, Reebok Classics is paying homage to Shaq's backboard breaking legacy with an all-new colorway of the Shaq Attaq. Decked out in Orlando Magic colors, the shoe features a glossy blue patent upper with a shattered glass pattern throughout. Other highlights include black leather overlays, a grey collar and pinstriped laces.

You may be wondering why Reebok used shattered glass texture if he never actually broke the glass. Well, he did that too.

As of now, there isn't a release date tied to this pair, but we'll keep you updated here at Sole Collector. In the meantime, let us know if you'll be adding these to your Reebok Classics lineup.
