Of all the Jordans that haven't been subjected to a true retro run, the Air Jordan XVI is probably the one model sneakerheads want to come back the most. The shoe did make a small return to retail as part of the CDP in 2008, but has been stashed away in the vault since. Is the XVI on its way back anytime soon? Maybe, and perhaps Joe Johnson's footwear choice for tonight's game against the Miami Heat was a sign of things to come.
Joe rocked a simple, but sweet XVI PE in Nets-inspired white and black. He went with the shroudless look as Brooklyn picked up an unlikely 96-95 victory against the defending champs.
This doesn't mean a XVI retro is imminent, but seeing the shoe back on the court is more encouraging than not. Is the XVI the Air Jordan you want re-released the most?
