One of sports' most sought after equipment contracts will soon be changing.

According to a report from ESPN.com, when their deal expires at the end of the current school year, Notre Dame will switch from wearing adidas for its team sports to Under Armour. As of last night, the deal had not yet been signed, but is expected in the near future.

UA CEO Kevin Plank recently made a trip to South Bend to meet with school officials. Last month, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick denied reports that the school has decided on Under Armour, saying a review was being conducted with several major brands, including Nike.

Notre Dame has been with adidas since 1997. The two sides agreed to a 10-year deal in 2005 that will last through the current school year. However, the Irish became less of a priority for adidas when they landed the Michigan contract in 2008, the largest deal in college sports.

Other UA-outfitted schools include Auburn, Hawaii, Maryland, Texas Tech, Boston College, Utah, Northwestern, St. John's, South Florida and South Carolina.
