From commercials to product, adidas has never shied away from bringing its biggest personalities and brand icons together. Last summer, they surprisingly linked Derrick Rose up with designer Jeremy Scott for a unique Rose 3.5 collaboration. Now, the Rose signature line is set to get some help from the greatest soccer player in the world.
In recent years, we've seen Nike bring elements from soccer to Kobe Bryant and LeBron James' signature lines. One could even liken the KD 6 to a traditional soccer boot. However, this isn't exactly new territory for adidas. Back in 2009, they teamed up with Boston boutique Bodega for a Chelsea FC collection featuring the TS Commander LT. Continuing to celebrate its soccer roots, adidas has now paired Rose with FC Barcelona star Leo Messi.
Here's your first look at the 'Messi' adidas D Rose 4.5. The shoe is white-based with contrasting black stripes and colorful designs along the quarter panel. Bright Green works the GeoFit notation and SprintFrame, which appears to be backed by reflective 3-Stripes. On the backside of the tongue is a Messi patch featuring his custom logo. A white outsole caps off the look below.
There's no release information for the 'Messi' Rose 4.5 at the moment, but let us know if you're interested in grabbing a pair and we'll continue to follow the story here at Sole Collector.
