With the NBA's annual showcase weekend soon arriving next month, UK-based graphic illustrator James Boughton has quite a series in store for you.

Each day leading up to this year's 2014 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans, we'll be counting things down with a showcase courtesy of James that highlights the sneakers worn by the starting five of both the Eastern and Western conferences.

Whether it's the all red Maestro that MVP Scottie Pippen wore in 1994, the Shaqnosis that made their presence felt in San Antonio or the flurry of louder themed shoes that have dominated All-Star Weekend each of the last five years, James has you covered with his funky little sneaker doodles.

Check out the 1994 NBA All-Star lineup below, and stay tuned for more each day as we inch closer to New Orleans.
