For most sneaker heads across the globe, the winter season creates a ton of changes when it comes to what shoes to wear on a daily basis.
Heavy snow and low temperatures in most places force gems into storage for months, while other regions allow sneakerheads to rock whatever they'd like year-round. And while the effects of the winter season are felt in more places than not, most brands provide year-round options for all sorts of weather. 
Nike Sportswear among many other brands, has for the past few years provided a number of boot options throughout the winter season. This year saw Nike Sportswear introduce the much talked about Sneakerboot Collection, which featured boot-inspired versions of several classic models such as the Air Max 90 and Dunk High, along with modern styles such as the Lunar LDV and Roshe Run. The winter-friendly collection by Nike Sportswear also included the Air Force 1 High Duckboot, which has been a holiday season staple for the Swoosh since their original introduction back in 2010. The Air Force 1 High Duckboot provides the perfect option for those still looking to rock the classics in the winter, updated with a weather-friendly duck boot toe, waterproof uppers, insulated liners and a beefed up outsole ready to take on any conditions. Other boot options by the Swoosh include the traditional ACG Goadome, and hybrid favorites such as the ACG Foamposite Boot and the ACG Bakin Posite Boot.
But while boot options are plentiful nowadays, there's still plenty of original styles suited for everyday use throughout the winter. The first shoe that comes to mind is the Air Foamposite one, or any Foamposite-based shoe actually, which feature the perfect indestructible build to wear through any weather conditions. The Foamposite, along with the ACG Goadome and other aforementioned boots, have long been winter favorites all up and down the East coast thanks to their rugged boot-like yet still-stylish design.
Newer models such as the LeBron XI and Air Max Hyperposite by Nike Basketball can definitely serve the same purpose with their durable Armorposite builds, adding to the list of year-round winter friendly options already out there.
Considering all things, there really isn't any reason to not be able to rock what you'd like throughout the winter season. While the winter conditions might force you to change up your footwear choices, there's still plenty of options on the market to find something that's both visually appealing and functional.
