Confirming rumors we've hearing rumbling for weeks, Darrelle Revis' manager John Geiger announces that the Nike Zoom Revis 2 trainer has been cancelled.

Though Geiger provided no additional information, we've learned that Nike has shifted its focus and marketing toward Calvin Johnson, arguably the most exciting player in the NFL. At the moment, Johnson has a signature trainer, cleat and apparel on the market, as well as a marketing campaign co-starring Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

An April trade sent Revis from a competitive situation in New York to a losing one in Tampa Bay, which may or may not have contributed to the discontinuation of his line. In September, Niketalk's kingofny94 shared a photo of the Revis 2 in two colorways, seemingly putting the shoe on target for a launch this season.

What are your thoughts on the cancellation of the Revis 2? Do you find this news surprising?
