After seven years with adidas, Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush announced that he's switching over to Nike for the upcoming NFL season.
Bush made the announcement on Instagram, sharing a picture of the Calvin Johnson-endorsed CJ81 Elite TD cleats he'll be wearing this year.
Viewed as a can't miss prospect coming out of USC in 2006, Bush was once a signature athlete for adidas. His name was attached to several cleats, such as the Reggie TD and RB 619. Bush also served as one of the leads as adidas developed its lightweight adizero line over the years.
This season, Bush figures to be part of a high octane offense that will also feature weapons like Johnson, quarterback Matt Stafford and tight end Brandon Pettigrew.
