After enjoying five on-court signature models during his time with Nike so far, Kevin Durant will for the first time also be launching a lifestyle sneaker that drafts off of his latest shoe.

Designed by Nike Sportswear's Jonathan JohnsonGriffin, the KD VI NSW takes obvious cues from the KD VI performance model, like the two triangles along the lateral side, jagged heel construction and quarter logo placement. Added into the mix is an exaggerated collar height at KD's request, along with a double tongue and metal lace grommets.

The actual colorway below was inspired by a photo of Durant at his last birthday party and the polka dot shirt he was wearing.

"I liked that the shot was taken at a combined birthday party for KD, his mom and his aunt -- who he's dancing with in the photo," says JohnsonGriffin. "I wanted the shoe to reflect the kind of guy he is: approachable and playful."

Stay tuned for more release information as it becomes available for the "Birthday" KD VI NSW.
