Looking to expand his range a bit, Mache recently decided to make a new luxury line of reconstructed customs, utilizing exotic materials in addition to his usual top-notch paint jobs. For starters, he linked up with long-time customizer Relevant to create this eye-catching "What the Kobe" Nike Kobe 8 System.
Taking on the DNA of the original "What The Kobe" 7, Mache executed the theme using authentic skins to represent predatory animals. The shoe features a purple python upper, black snakeskin lateral Swoosh branding, shark along the heel, neon lizard rear Kobe logo and stingray for the small medial Swoosh logos. Faux cheetah fur works the tongues and inner linings. With a little help from @Absolelute, redesigned leather 'What The Kobe' tags with purple python underlays adorn the tongues.
For those of you interested in purchasing Mache and Relevant's "What The Kobe" 8, five pairs will be made available on a made-to-order basis. You can contact Mache through machecustoms.com.
