As we confirmed Friday, Tulsa Shock rookie Skylar Diggins has officially joined draft classmates Brittney Griner and Elena Delle Donne as the newest members of Nike Basketball. Believed to be the most marketable of the three, Diggins was the last to agree to a deal after drawing heavy interest from other brands.

Skylar's Nike deal probably isn't a surprise if you happened to catch the Twitter exchange between her and Kobe Bryant a little more than a week ago. A co-sign from the biggest name on the brand probably didn't hurt Nike's pitch. Perhaps as somewhat of a welcoming gift, Skylar recently received a custom pair of the Kobe 8 System styled in her new Shock team colors.

Skylar's kicks are decked out in yellow with black along the interior and midsole. Red fills in Swoosh branding on the side panels, while a translucent rubber outsole completes the look below.

What do you think of Skylar's first Nike PE? Should she spend her highly anticipated rookie season exclusively in Kobes?
