When looking at Nike Basketball footwear in these 2013 NBA Playoffs, "variety" seems to be the key word so far. The majority of Nike Basketball athletes are lacing up new kicks or new colorways almost every game, making it hard to keep track of every shoe being worn by the playoff stars. LeBron James is the main culprit in this case, lacing up four different colorways of the LeBron X Elite for each game of the Miami Heat's sweep of the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round.
Other notable sneaker rotations come from NBA Sixth Man of the Year J.R. Smith, who has worn both the KD V Eilite "EYBL" and two colorways of the Hyperdunk 2012 Low, as well as Deron Williams who made the switch from the Zoom Hyperdisruptor to the Air Max Hyperaggressor throughout the Nets vs. Bulls series.
Almost all Nike Basketball athletes are opting for the latest in performance footwear, but Denver's Wilson Chandler broke out an unexpected shoe this postseason, the Air Jaq, which is the updated version of the classic Air Raid. Chandler is also keeping the Air Penny V alive on the NBA court this postseason, wearing the "Tigers" colorway in Oakland.
