Classic Commercial: Michael Jordan and Mars Blackmon for the Air Jordan V

Mars and Professor Douglas Kirkpatrick answer how Air Jordan defies gravity.

Mars Blackmon and "Professor Douglas Kirkpatrick of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics" answer how Michael Jordan defies gravity, in this original Air Jordan V commercial.

Professor Kirkpatrick might now be real, but the hype surrounding the Air Jordan V this week certainly is.  Do you know, do you know, do you know why?  Because the original Air Jordan V "Grape" colorway is on the way back to retailers this weekend.  In 'White/Grape Ice-New Emerald', the "Grapes" are one of the most beloved colorways of any Air Jordan shoe not in the Chicago Bulls red, white and black.  With a little help from the Charlotte Hornets, the early 90s' obsession with teal and purple color schemes inspired this classic Air Jordan colorway, which returns to retail for only its second time since the original 1990 release.

You'll have your chance to grab the Grapes this weekend, but until then, let's watch this semi-educational commercial with Mars and Money for the original Air Jordan V.
