The biggest NBA story of the week was unquestionably the Chicago Bulls ending the Miami Heat's 27-game win streak on Wednesday. Second-year standout and adidas Basketball athlete Jimmy Butler made a significant contribution, putting up a line of 17 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals in the historic win. Perhaps the highlight of the game was Butler's third quarter alley-oop dunk over Chris Bosh, which swung momentum back to Chicago for good. For the game, Butler rocked the red, black and white colorway of the Crazy 8, which was recently re-released at select retail locations.
Iman Shumpert is starting to get his legs back after missing the early part of the season, helping the Knicks make a strong push in the Eastern Conference as the playoffs near. This week, Shump laced up two new colorways of the Real Deal, a Knicks-themed custom by Sole Swap and the Light Grey/Prime Blue/Red Zest pair that dropped last month.
As we pointed out earlier this week, John Wall dropped a career-high 47 points against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. Wall continues to play some of the best ball of his career in his PE colorway of the Crazyquick, which is certainly living up to its name as it pertains to John's game.
Lastly, Rookie of the Year frontrunner Damian Lillard made good on his promise to wear a fan designed colorway of the Rose 3.5 in Portland's game against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. Designed by Portland's Scott Boldt, the custom shoes were the first of two winning fan designs that Dame plans to wear on the court this season.
