Nike Skateboarding officially unveiled the new Eric Koston 2 today, the second Nike pro model engineered for the legendary skater. The Koston 2 merges skate shoe needs with running shoe insights, with increased ventilation and comfort coming at the suggestion of Koston himself.

Inspired by Eric's interest in the LunarGlide running line, the Koston 2 features a hidden heel clip with a flexible mesh window, improving lockdown and support. "The breathability was something I wanted to add, because the Koston 1 didn’t focus on that," said Koston. "Fit was another concern with me and I wanted it to fit better with an inner booty that’s all connected to the tongue as one piece so it fits snugly."

The shoe also includes a Lunarlon sockliner for impact protection and comfort, zonal flex grooves for increased flexibility and a modified herringbone outsole for maximum traction.

The Nike SB Koston 2 will release on Monday, April 1 at Nike Skateboarding accounts. Retail price is set at $90 USD.
