Rajon Rondo Wears Insanely Loud Nike HyperPosite PE

With a national TNT audience watching, Rajon Rondo broke out a new custom colorway of the HyperPosite that was impossible to miss.

There's a LOT going on here.

The HyperPosite, even if excellently executed, already packs a marketing brief's dream all into one sneaker in terms of its bells and whistles.

Clearly, there's the name alone, combining Nike Basketball's favorite silo naming convention of the past five years with perhaps its most valued material.

From there, there's a Hyperfuse construction upper, Foamposite base, full-length visible Air Max 360 and a clear outsole too to capture your attention.

It's even fair to wonder why they weren't just named "Nike Air Max HyperFusePosite 360" to fully drive the point home.

On top of everything that is going on with the $225 shoe already, Rajon Rondo then broke out these.

Worn at home earlier tonight, Rondo's newest player exclusives once again ditched all historic footwear convention for the traditionally traditional Celtics franchise. The mesh along the tongue of the shoe featured a lone hit of green, while the rest of the upper's vivid goldish tint had everyone buzzing during the marquee TNT matchup. With black accents, and yes, some scuffed midsole paint to round out the loud-as-hell colorway, it's safe to say that these are already being more hotly debated than his similarly eye-catching Christmas HyperPosite.

There's no word on whether or not Rajon's colorway of the HyperPosite will be releasing or if they'll remain a size 13 custom just for him, but we'll be sure to keep you posted once more info becomes available.
