Noting Michael Jordan's aerial style of play, Tinker Hatfield drew inspiration for the Air Jordan V from the WWII Mustang Fighter Plane. A reflective tongue, clear lacelocks and a translucent outsole defined the classic worn by MJ en route to his fourth career scoring title and career-high 69-point performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers in March of 1990.
