Nike unveiled the new GS 2 football boot today, the second generation offering from the GS line, and the lightest, most environmentally friendly production boot ever made by the company. The GS 2 builds on the first model, adding All Conditions Control (ACC) technology for enhanced ball control and a consistent feel in wet conditions.

The new GS 2 features a black and white upper with a large, safari print ACC logo on the lateral side. Weighing in at only 160 grams, the GS 2 is built with renewable and recyclable materials, including a castor bean-derived sockliner and traction plate. The laces, lining and tongue are made from a minimum of 70% recycled materials, while the toeboard and collar feature at least 15% recycled materials.

After Brazilian superstar Neymar debuted the original GS boot during the summer, the GS 2 will be worn by some of Europe's brightest young stars, including Liverpool's Raheem Sterling, Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Dortmund's Mario Göetze, Arsenal's Theo Walcott, Ajax's Christian Eriksen and A.C. Milan's Stephan El Shaarawy.

The Nike GS 2 football boot will be available for purchase on December 1 at Nike.com.
