Vintage Ad: Nike Zoom Terra Sertig

Check out the original minimalist ad for the Nike Zoom Terra Sertig hiker.

Nike's ACG (All Conditions Gear) line of hiking shoes and outdoors wear saw its heyday in the early 1990's, but the late 90's saw its share of memorable models as well.  One of the greatest hikers from the later days of ACG was the Zoom Terra Sertig from 1997.

As many of you have seen by now, the Terra Sertig is making a comeback, but not quite like the original you see in this ad.  Whether you like it or not, the Terra Sertig is coming back minus the original Zoom Air cushioned sole, and with a 360 Max Air unit.  (The sense of putting a full length Air Max bag is debatable, but that's another story.)  The Zoom Terra Sertig combined elements of a trail runner with a hiking boot.  It was a big and loud hiker perfect for the trail, but also found its way to the city streets where it gained its cult following.  Here we see the original in its iconic White/University Red-Canyon Gold colorway.

Where you excited to see the modified Air Max version, or would you prefer the Terra Sertig to return in this original form?
