In this commercial big brother is watching the skies, hones in on some "hostile activity" and proceeds to find some heat on the basketball court.  After they locate the source of the footwear in question, it's time to alert the president, "they're going in!"

Yeah, it's corny, but that is what 90's commercials are all about!  Here we see two Nike basketball shoes: the Air DVST8 and the obscure Air Legit.  The Air DVST8 is a perfect example of one of those shoes that was a standard, low priced model of its time, but would now be considered "heat".  Compared to popular models from its time (1995-96) like the Air Penny or Air More Uptempo, the DVST8 was a basic model that kids weren't as focused on begging their parents for.  It was, however, a great option for those of us who didn't have the luxury of getting the most expensive shoes.  It is seen here in its basic black and white, but was available in a wide variety of team colors and more interesting color blocked versions.

The Air DVST8 has never seen a retro release, and probably never will, but let's hope for it anyway.  Does anybody remember having a pair?
