Initially believed to be an unreleased sample, it turns out that this never-before-seen colorway of the Rose 3 is actually the real deal. According to sources, the Black/Grey/Red make-up is a Chicago Bulls alternate style that will be sold in very limited quantities as an adidas retail exclusive in the United States and China.
The Bulls alternate "Away" Rose 3 features a black nubuck upper, red mesh underlayer and grey SprintFrame chassis. Grey also works a contrast stitch throughout the upper, the new Rose logo on the tongue and a white-speckled midsole. White stripes run along the heel of the shoe and continue on the red herringbone rubber outsole.
You can pre-order the "Away" Rose 3 now at Finish Line for $160, but the product code of shoe they're selling matches up with the leather version shown at today's launch. We'll give you details on the limited color launch when that information becomes available.
