WIth the Swoosh taking over the National Football League in 2012, there is no better time for the timeless Air Max Speed Turf to make a return to shelves than this summer. The Air Max Speed Turf returns to retail for the first time ever, following in line behind other recently retro'd trainer classics such as the Diamond Turf II and the Air Max Pillar.

Recently returning in the classic Black/White-Volt original color scheme, the timeless turf trainer made it's mark in the sneaker world in the upcoming Miami Dolphins-inspired Dan Marino color scheme.

The Max Speed Turf was everywhere both on and off the gridiron during the mid '90s, seen on everyone from Steve Young, to Bryan Cox, to even WIll Smith in a classic episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The Air Max Speed Turf also saw some time on the hardwood, with the then Syracuse star power forward John Wallace lacing up the iconic trainers for the Orange Men.

With not even Nike's first season under their belt at the controls of things in the NFL, the return of the Air Max Speed Turf is definitely just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to story telling and reliving classic Swoosh moments on the gridiron with the Nike Sportswear team.

Look for the Miami Dolphins inspired Dan Marino NSW Air Max Speed Turf to release at select Nike Sportswear accounts nationwide tomorrow, August 18th.
