With news that the Nike Air Way Up is on its way back for Spring '13, thankfully in the two Bulls-worn colorways above, what better time to look back on several classic photos of the shoes in action for their intended use.

While seemingly everyone in the league wore the Way Up during the 95-96 season, it was the Chicago Bulls who were embarking on a record-setting 72-10 season, and it was Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman who rocked the iconically blocked sneaker throughout the first half of the year.

Check out Pip and Worm on the hardwood below, and pay close attention to all of the Way Up cameos from their nightly opponents too, from the likes of Vlade and Horace Grant even. Think of the Concord XI sightings as an added bonus too.
