To celebrate NBA Hall Of Famer/2-time NBA Champion/1990 Rookie of The Year/1995 NBA MVP/10-time All Star...you get the idea, he was good at basketball...David Robinson's birthday today we'll take a look at a pair of his Nike Air Max 2 Strong Hi's.

The 2 Strong was the premier big-man shoe of 1995 with its most notable wearer being David Robinson, but also worn by everyone from B.J. Armstrong to Gheorghe Muresan.  This shoe continued The Admiral's trend of very hi topped and/or strapped models like the Air Command Force, Air Ballistic Force, and Air Unlimited.  It featured a high cut inner bootie and "Anti-Inversion" lateral and medial velcro straps at the heel for ultimate locked down support.  The upper sat upon the same midsole design as Charles Barkley's Air Max2 CB but with a different, finger-print-like design on the outsole.

The Air Max 2 Strong came in a wide variety of team colors but here we see David's pair in an appropriate black and white colorway to match his San Antonio Spurs uniform with his #50 stitched on the heel pull tab.  Where do you rank these among The Admiral's collection of footwear worn throughout his career?
