Kevin Durant's first Olympic experience is one for the books. The reigning 3-time NBA Scoring Champion followed up his 2010 FIBA World Championship with the first of what may be many Olympic Gold Medals. His 156 total points set a new record for most points scored in an Olympic tournament and his 30 3-pointers set a new American record for most 3's hit. Soon, Nike will celebrate Durant's golden achievement by releasing this special "Gold Medal" edition of the Zoom KD IV.

The "Gold Medal" KD IV sports a golden upper with USA-inspired red and obsidian accents. Insoles are done in a unique purple color, presumably symbolic of the ribbon attached to the 2012 Olympic medals. Sitting below is a gold speckled midsole and translucent rubber outsole.

These still haven't dropped stateside, but they are turning up at retail locations overseas, and SC forum member SoleKnight got his hands on a pair. Read on for a detailed look.
