Megatron Tested. G.O.A.T. Approved. Nike celebrates tomorrow's EA Sports Madden '13 video game release with a special pack of Lunar TR1 colorways inspired by cover athlete Calvin Johnson and the legend by which all wide receivers are measured against, Jerry Rice.
The "Megatron" Lunar TR1 sports a bright blue synthetic and mesh upper with a Megatron graphic on the heel, custom insoles, speckled grey Lunarlon midsole and icy translucent outsole.
For the "GOAT," a 49ers-inspired red-based TR1 featuring golden highlights, GOAT notation on the heel, a white Lunarlon midsole and a translucent rubber sole.
Both pairs are packaged in special boxes bearing their images and pesonal quotes.
According to Nike Football, the pack will release in limited quantities at Niketown Toronto, Niketown Las Vegas, and the Champs store in Willowbrook, NJ this Saturday, September 1. No word yet on pricing or additional retail locations.
