In the first exhibition of the summer for USA Basketball earlier tonight, three-time Olympian LeBron James wore the new Nike Lunar Hyperdunk+ in the team's absolute blowout of the Dominican Republic.
It was convenient timing for James to have switched out of his normal signature product and support Nike Basketball's newest performance innovation, as the "USAB" Lunar Hyperdunk+ just so happened to launch today on NikeStore.com. As you'll notice in the image below, his pair features his 'LJ' crown logo along the tongue.
We can expect to see LeBron in the Hyperdunk+ throughout the early stages of the road to the 2012 Olympics in London, with a few surprises in store if and when the team advances on to the Medal rounds. For now, the fact that the shoes boast the brand's new Nike+ data capture system will hopefully lead to some communication of LeBron's ridiculous stats throughout the summer games.
