Paying tribute to Kobe's prom-to-pros leap in 1996, adidas Basketball drops a Lower Merion High School inspired colorway of the Top Ten 2000.

When the adidas Top Ten 2000 first dropped during the mid-90s, it was of course memorable for not only ushering in a new era of design and performance for adidas Basketball, but it was also the first adidas sneaker worn by Lakers rookie phenom Kobe Bryant once he turned pro.

With the return of the Top Ten 2000 being celebrated all year long, adidas looks to pay tribute to Bryant's prom-to-pros leap with a colorway styled up in his Lower Merion High School colors. A combination of nubuck and mesh can be seen along the upper dressed in "Shift Grey," with an anodized "Light Maroon" overlay all sitting atop the brand's innovative "Feet You Wear" natural motion tooling.
