Drake Wears White / Green "SVSM"-inspired Air Jordan IX Exclusive

Performing in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio -- just a short drive north of Akron -- Drake broke out quite the exclusive last night while on the midwest leg of his ongoing nationwide tour.

It's been almost ten years since we've seen the Air Jordan IX in a white upper with green patent leather, but that's exactly what Drake had on his feet throughout the show.

Originally custom made for an 18 year-old that the country was already calling "King James," the IX PEs were actually worn by LeBron for his very last high school game at Saint Vincent Saint Mary's. James went out on top before becoming the #1 pick in the NBA Draft that spring, as he led the Irish to their third state title in four years with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

With the Air Jordan IX slated for a Retro launch in 2013, could this be an early sample of something to look forward to? We were able to confirm that Jordan Brand made a batch of promo exclusives for Drake nearly two years ago that he's slowly dipped into. Our own Zac Dubasik was on hand for the show (he loved when Tity Boi came out for "No Lie"), and the IXs were definitely green.

Perhaps these were simply included in that lucky promo order, but we'll keep you posted as we learn more about a potential "SVSM"-inspired release.
