In Fall/Winter 2012, designer Jeremy Scott will continue to add his unique vision to adidas classics, offering a premium collection derived from an eclectic mix of inspiration. This time around, Jeremy taps into elements of nature and technology and blends them into a series of 90s-inspired looks. The new collection is highlighted by floral and animal prints, strong symbols, bold graphics and loud colors.
Highlight products range from the JS bear suspender pants, a piece with the iconic plush teddy bears all over the pant, as well as a women’s bear hoodie and the legendary JS bear sneaker with a cuddly upper and flower power print. Scott also pulls from the 90s, adding cheerful, bright graphics to the Firebird Tracksuit and patches to a collegiate varsity jacket. Additionally, Jeremy integrates technology into selected pieces of the collection, featuring computer keyboard prints on classic sweatpants and a feminine JS Keyboard dress.
In terms of footwear, Jeremy not only developed some of his well-known designs, but added a few new models as well. The JS Wings come in updated materials and colors, while the women’s wedge is given butterfly wings. The JS Hiking Boot is dressed in a light-green crocodile patent leather upper and the JS Wings 2.0 is updated with running-inspired meshes and reflectors. Other brand new pieces include the iconic Superstar 80s revamped with a ripple rubber sole, and a women’s wedge based on an adidas track and field classic.
The adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott product line will roll out globally to adidas Originals stores, select accounts and online in August 2012.
